See Copenhagen’s best sights and explore the royal palace

Copenhagen has many amazing museums to explore, including Christiansborg Palace, which has been the country's seat of power for 800 years. To make the most of your Copenhagen city trip, you’ll want an easy way to get around the city and book some experience before you arrive there. With this combination ticket you’ll easily find your way around the city and can enter the royal palace.

A story of royalty and ruins at Christiansborg Palace

Over the course of 800 years, three different palaces have stood on Slotsholmen, with the current palace having been completed in 1928. Part of the current palace is used by the Danish government and some is still used, on occasion, by the royal family. These rooms can be explored with this ticket, including the Royal Reception Rooms with the Great Hall and the Queen’s tapestries, Royal Kitchen, Palace Chapel and the Ruins of the previous palaces.

The Royal Reception Rooms are used by the Queen to receive foreign dignitaries, such as kings, queens and presidents, and the Great Hall features 17 tapestries that represent 1100 years of Danish history. In the summer season there are daily guided tours, but for the rest of the year you can find free audio guides in the Useuum app about the tapestries, the Royal Reception Rooms, and the Ruins under the palace.
