Explore Danish history and the Danish capital

Denmark has a rich history, which can be seen throughout the capital city Copenhagen as well as in the National Museum. To explore both the museum and the city easily, you can simply by this combination ticket. You’ll have access to the hop-on hop-off bus for 24 hours and you can visit the extensive museum at your own pace.

Learn about Denmark’s history and culture

Denmark’s history is not limited to the borders of the country, the Vikings travelled far and wide and later generations had a hand in colonising parts of the world. At the National Museum of Denmark, you’ll journey through history from Danish pre-historic days to the present. To place the Nordic history into perspective there is also a collection dedicated to Classical and Near Eastern Antiquities.

The National Museum of Denmark is also incredibly child friendly and includes a Children’s Museum. Here kids can learn about history through play without worrying about what they can or cannot touch. And if that is not enough, there is also the infamous Boredom Button, which can cause just about anything to happen, statues may come to life, paintings can start talking and secret chests may open to reveal treasures.

Discover Copenhagen at your own pace by Hop-on Hop-off bus

With the RED Sightseeing hop-on hop-off bus you can visit all the best sights in Copenhagen. There is a stop less than 500 metres from the National Museum, and with 21 other stops around the city you can easily make your way around. Over the course of 24 hours you can hop on and off at any of the stops in the city, including at Tivoli and the Little Mermaid statue.

When you ride on the bus, you can make use of the free Wi-fi and listen to the audio guide to learn more about the city. With the RED Sightseeing app you will be able to see exactly where the buses and the bus stops in the city are. And the app even includes a free walking tour in the city centre of Copenhagen.
